tattoo:
i get asked about my tattoo quite a lot and it was all done whilst traveling so i'll record here the meanings behind the symbols, what inspired them and where i got the work done.
the crop circle: thailand
i have wanted a crop circle tattoo for years. i'm a huge science fiction fan and i love the simplicity and geometry of crop circles. i wish they where proof of alien life. but i happy that they started out by a drunk australian strapping planks to his feet and walking round in a circle in a field.
the cascade trace: thailand
i am also a keen juggler and juggling has played a very large part in my life and helped me make some amazing friends, visit some cool places, see some amazing performance. it has also helped fund my travels. and help me get over agoraphobia and depression.
the southern cross: australia
well i was living in sydey for three months and traveling in australia for another two months. i would also be in new zealand for five months. the southern cross features heavily on both the countries flags and also symbolizes being the furthest away from home and stubs out all my agoraphobia.
the rebel alliance: australia
well i wanted something little more light hearted on my tattoo and starwars are my favorite films of all time. it was a tough decision weather to go for the empire or the rebel alliance. the empire logo is actually cooler, and they do have way more cool weapons and transport. but. i went for the rebel alliance becuase i see myself as a good guy. cheesey, but true.
